Taken from the Old Testament Book of 1 Samuel is the story of a young shepherd named David. When King Saul was sent by God to find a new king, he rejected many other candidates, but God led him to choose David. 

David he had warded off wolves who tried to attack his sheep with a slingshot and a stone. He then rose to fame by defeating the giant enemy, Goliath, with that same  slingshot. David became a great warrior and musician who united Israel and made Jerusalem the new capital.
