The CEV Bible is the official translation approved for use in Masses for Children, and the Holy Bible CEV Catholic Edition with Encyclopedia has been endorsed by Archbishop Mark Coleridge, President of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference.

Authors for the Encyclopedia were drawn from Australian Catholic University, Notre Dame University (WA), Yarra Theological College, BBI-TAITE and various Diocesan Catholic Education Offices from around Australia.
