With beautiful illustrations by Kees de Kort, this book uses a translation in Pitjantjatjara to tell the story of the Jewish slave named Moses, who became a leader in Egypt. After plagues, Moses confronted the Pharoah and went on to lead the enslaved people of Israel out of Egypt. The Red Sea barred the way, but God commanded Moses to lift his stick and hold it over the water. Moses obeyed and God sent a strong wind and made the sea retreat, allowing the Israelites to escape the Egyptian army, hot on their heels.
The Israelites rejoiced at the freedom God had granted them, singing songs of thanks and dancing for joy.
